Description
Assignment Overview
• Shift: 3x12s
• Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• Required Background: PICU and NICU experience required
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted
• Weekends: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday)
• Time Off: All requested time off must be submitted with the submittal and approved prior to offer
Licensure & Certification Requirements
• Active New Jersey license required
• BLS required
• NBRC required
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required; travelers may obtain these certifications onsite
Patient Population / Unit Information
• Neonatal Critical Care
• Pediatric patients
Float Expectations
• Will float between BSMCH Pediatric units and NICU based on facility needs
• May float to adult units on the main campus
Required Clinical Skills / Procedures
• Blood gas collection
• Ventilator initiation and management
• BiPAP initiation and management
• High-flow therapy initiation and management
• Code response
• In-house patient transport
• Medication administration
• Chest physiotherapy (Chest PT)
Required Equipment Experience
• Servo-I
• Servo-U
• V60 BiPAP
Charting System
• EPIC
