Job Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS and NRP required
• PALS preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level III or higher NICU, or 1+ year of PICU experience
• Experience with neonatal respiratory care and pediatric respiratory therapy
• Skills in Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, extubation, and intubation assist
• Ability to provide documentation, valid references, and required compliance items prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to neonates in a high-acuity NICU environment
• Support both neonatal and pediatric patients based on facility needs
• Assist with airway management, including intubation support and extubation
• Set up and manage respiratory support equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP
• Monitor and respond to respiratory status changes in critically ill infants
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to provide safe, effective treatment
• Float between neonatal and pediatric areas as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established NICU protocols
