• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 - $1,900
• Orientation: 30 hours
• Schedule Notes: Alternating days off, on-call coverage with a 30-minute response time, every 3rd or 4th weekend, and holidays as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience
• NBSTSA certification required; NCCT is not accepted
• BLS certification required
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Open heart surgery experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced cardiac surgery and surgical technologist environment
• Must be willing to participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgery and open-heart surgical procedures in the CVOR setting
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field using excellent aseptic technique
• Support case readiness for complex procedures, including CABG, valve replacement, EVAR, TAVR, and VAD cases
• Follow universal protocol, sharps safety, radiation safety, and isolation precautions
• Handle specimens accurately and maintain strong attention to detail throughout the surgical workflow
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team to promote efficient room turnover and high-quality patient care
• Be available for call, weekend coverage, floating as needed, and holiday coverage per department needs
