• Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapy Job
• Location: Farmington, CT
• Setting: Hospital Respiratory Therapy Department
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; every other weekend rotation
• Start Date: 11/13/2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,080
• Additional Notes: Holiday coverage and occasional additional hours may be required based on unit needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC or equivalent certifying body
• Current Connecticut Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to practice in Connecticut
• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required; 1-2 years preferred
• Previous travel respiratory therapist experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• NRP certification highly desired
• Strong clinical skills in fast-paced adult acute care environments
• Ability to float to other units within scope of practice and clinical competence

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult patients with respiratory, cardiac, orthopedic, and other complex medical needs
• Deliver care across multiple clinical areas, including ICU, emergency department (ED), med-surg, telemetry, and other assigned units as needed
• Support patient assessments, treatments, monitoring, and respiratory equipment management in accordance with departmental standards
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to changing patient care needs and assist with unit coverage when reassigned within scope of practice
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment while delivering compassionate patient care
