Shift: Day shift, 12 hours (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,860
Setting: 40-bed Level IV NICU
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
On-Call: None
Orientation: 40 hours
Charting System: Epic preferred

Job Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level III or higher NICU, or 1 year of PICU experience
Valid Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
BLS certification required
NRP certification required
PALS preferred
Experience with Epic preferred
Skills in Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, extubation, and intubation assist
Must be comfortable floating between neonatal and pediatric care as needed
PA fingerprints required prior to start

Responsibilities

Provide advanced respiratory care to neonatal patients in a high-acuity NICU environment
Support intubations, extubations, and respiratory stabilization procedures
Manage non-invasive ventilation, including Bubble CPAP and CPAP/BiPAP therapies
Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation as needed
Monitor and respond to respiratory changes in critically ill infants
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver safe, compassionate, family-centered care
Float between neonatal and pediatric units based on facility needs
Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols in Epic when applicable
