Travel CT Technologist – Night Shift Assignment in New London, CT

Job Details

• Setting: Hospital-based CT department within a Level III trauma and stroke center
• Location: New London, CT 06320
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 4x10-hour schedule (18:00 - 06:30)
• Shift Duration: 10 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,600 - $2,790
• Charting System: Epic
• Equipment: GE Optima CT660, GE and Siemens systems
• Work Environment: Free parking, strong interdisciplinary support, and a modern acute care setting
• Assignment Notes: Floating may be required between two nearby facilities in Connecticut and Rhode Island; applicable state licensure is required

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of hospital CT experience; 2 years preferred for submission
• ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Connecticut and Rhode Island licensure required; candidate must apply prior to submittal
• Experience with both GE and Siemens equipment preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and call as needed for department coverage
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a high-acuity, team-based setting
• Experience with trauma, stroke, ED, ICU, and a variety of adult and pediatric CT studies preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient comfort and safety
• Support a wide range of studies, including head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, trauma, vascular, and contrast-enhanced exams
• Prepare and administer contrast media and maintain proper IV access when needed
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other care teams to provide timely imaging support
• Follow isolation precautions and department protocols to ensure high-quality patient care
• Assist with urgent and emergent imaging needs in the ED, ICU, and trauma settings
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all department workflow standards
• Adapt to float coverage between nearby facilities as needed while delivering consistent care
