Travel CT Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490–$2,670
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel assignment
• Location: Bartonsville, Pennsylvania
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• End Date: February 1, 2027
• Schedule: Days, 5 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital imaging department
• Float Requirement: Float between CT and X-ray units
• Call: No call required
• Orientation: 8 hours

CT Technologist and Radiologic Technologist Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent technical school program
• Ability to perform diagnostic imaging examinations for adolescents, adults, pediatric patients, and geriatric patients
• Knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions, contrast administration, venipuncture, and starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with PACS and electronic documentation; Epic experience is preferred
• Valid Pennsylvania credentials and required certifications must be available at the time of submission
• Flu vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions may be considered

CT and X-Ray Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT and X-ray examinations across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care settings
• Complete studies of the head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, musculoskeletal system, vascular system, and other body regions
• Perform specialized imaging including coronary CTA, vascular CTA, pulmonary embolism studies, calcium scoring, trauma imaging, and transplant studies
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, verify exam orders, and adapt imaging protocols to meet individual clinical needs
• Safely prepare and administer contrast media according to established protocols
• Perform venipuncture and initiate peripheral IV access when clinically appropriate
• Apply radiation safety practices and maintain appropriate isolation and personal protective equipment precautions
• Operate GE CT and X-ray equipment, including GE Maxima, GE Definium Tempo, and portable X-ray systems
• Accurately document procedures and results in PACS and the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with radiology professionals and the broader care team to support timely, high-quality diagnostic imaging services
