Travel Mammography Technologist Job Details

• Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380–$2,550
• Contract: Approximately 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 16, 2027
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Healthcare Setting: On-site mammography unit
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding any on-call time worked

Mammography Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of mammography experience; 1–2 years preferred
• Experience performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms
• ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography certification or verification
• Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license at the time of submission or ability to obtain it during onboarding
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current influenza vaccination as required for the assignment
• Strong patient-care, communication, and diagnostic image-quality skills

Mammography Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols
• Obtain accurate patient histories and explain procedures to promote comfort and cooperation
• Position patients appropriately and produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Follow radiation safety standards and department procedures
• Review mammography images for technical quality and obtain additional views when appropriate
• Document examinations accurately and maintain compliance with applicable regulations
• Collaborate with radiologists and other members of the care team to support timely patient care
• Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-focused environment
