Travel CT Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,240–$2,400
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel CT technologist assignment
• Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• End Date: February 8, 2027
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shifts per Week: 2
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 a.m.–9:30 p.m.; must be willing to flex to 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. weekend shifts as needed
• Call: Not required
• Scheduling: Block scheduling is not available
• Documentation System: Epic
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approximately 95 patients
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital radiology department supporting a Level II Trauma Center and Stroke Center
• Equipment: GE Revolution Apex and GE Revolution ES CT scanners
• Orientation: 12 hours

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of CT technologist experience; 2 years of CT experience preferred
• Current ARRT (R) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT (CT) certification preferred
• Experience using Epic and PACS in a hospital or diagnostic imaging environment
• Proficiency performing routine CT examinations and preparing and administering contrast media
• Experience with CT-guided interventional procedures, including abscess drainage, or willingness to learn abscess drainage techniques
• Ability to perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs
• Knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions, and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols
• Valid Pennsylvania state license or applicable certification and all required credentials must be available at submission
• Planned time off must be submitted with the application

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations for emergency, inpatient, outpatient, ICU, trauma, and stroke patients
• Conduct CT studies of the head, brain, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, sinuses, soft tissue neck, musculoskeletal system, and vascular structures
• Perform advanced studies such as coronary CTA, cardiac imaging, brain perfusion, enterography, and colorectal examinations
• Prepare patients for examinations and safely administer contrast media according to established protocols
• Complete 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, region-of-interest measurements, and other image-processing tasks
• Assist with CT-guided procedures, including biopsies, aspirations, drainages, and abscess drainages
• Obtain patient histories, verify exam orders, position patients, and ensure accurate image acquisition
• Maintain patient safety, diagnostic image quality, radiation protection, and accurate documentation in Epic and PACS
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary support teams to deliver efficient patient care
