MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070–$2,220
• Location: York, Pennsylvania 17403
• Setting: Hospital and outpatient imaging center
• Employment Type: Travel MRI Technologist contract
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• End Date: January 25, 2027
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts; imaging coverage includes Friday 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every weekend
• Call: No call requirement
• Holidays: Holiday coverage as needed
• Charting: EPIC

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of MRI Technologist or MRI Tech experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ARMRIT or ARRT MRI credentials, as applicable to the assignment
• Required experience working with GE MRI equipment
• Required EPIC experience; PACS experience is strongly preferred
• Competency with adult acute care and outpatient imaging workflows
• Experience with MRI studies involving the brain, spine, abdomen, chest, breast, face and soft-tissue neck, and other routine diagnostic exams
• Knowledge of diffusion, gradient echo, perfusion, multiplanar reconstruction, image post-processing, and related MRI techniques
• Ability to follow isolation precautions and safely care for patients who may require additional PPE
• Strong communication, organization, patient-safety, and teamwork skills

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations in hospital and outpatient imaging settings
• Prepare, educate, and safely position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
• Operate GE MRI equipment and apply appropriate protocols for a variety of examinations
• Complete image post-processing, including diffusion, perfusion, gradient echo, subtraction, and multiplanar reconstruction when indicated
• Produce diagnostic-quality images while maintaining patient comfort, privacy, and safety
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in EPIC and PACS
• Screen patients for MRI safety considerations and follow all applicable safety procedures
• Use appropriate isolation precautions and PPE when caring for patients with infectious conditions
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the care team
• Provide reliable weekend coverage and support holiday operations as scheduled
