CT Technologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,540–$2,730
- Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital CT department
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Contract Duration: 13-week travel contract
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 18, 2027
- Additional Coverage: Occasional weekends, holidays, and backup call may be required
CT Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of CT technologist or hospital radiologic technologist experience required
- Current ARRT certification required
- ARRT CT registry eligible preferred
- Valid New Hampshire imaging license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Proficiency with CT scan software; GE and Siemens experience preferred
- Knowledge of PACS and electronic medical record systems; McKesson Change Healthcare and Epic experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient preparation, positioning, scan acquisition, anatomy, pathology, and contrast enhancement
- Ability to administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast according to established protocols
- Ability to apply the ALARA principle and follow radiation-safety standards
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
CT Imaging Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations in accordance with radiologist instructions and department protocols.
- Complete routine, advanced, and emergency CT imaging, including CT angiography and advanced 3D reconstructions.
- Assist radiologists during interventional imaging procedures.
- Explain CT examinations to patients and provide clear instructions to promote cooperation and comfort.
- Review contrast questionnaires, obtain relevant patient history, and verify exam requirements.
- Prioritize emergency department and inpatient CT imaging while coordinating the daily workload.
- Review images in PACS for completeness and submit quality examinations for radiologist interpretation.
- Complete accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and radiation protection standards at all times.
- Perform daily quality assurance and equipment warm-up procedures, troubleshoot issues, and contact service support when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked imaging environment.
- Complete required education, competencies, and continuing education activities.
