Travel Cath Lab Technologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,650–$2,840

Cath Lab Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
- Current New Hampshire ARRT license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Certificate or degree in radiologic technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated competency with Balloon Pump and Impella equipment
- Ability to scrub and operate X-ray equipment for cardiac catheterization and special procedures
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities
- Scrub for cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and special procedures.
- Operate and manage X-ray equipment used during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during cardiac and special procedures, including positioning, preparation, and equipment setup.
- Evaluate images for appropriate density, contrast, detail, and visualization of relevant structures.
- Perform special-procedure radiography in accordance with department protocols.
- Review requisitions, confirm pertinent clinical information, and identify special requests before procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients and involve them in their care whenever appropriate.
- Monitor patients for unusual reactions or conditions and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully prepared procedural areas; clean tables and equipment and restock supplies between cases.
- Complete examinations efficiently and accurately within established timeframes.
- Remain flexible to support staffing needs across shifts or procedural areas.
- Provide reliable call coverage and arrive prepared for patient care.
