Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630-$1,750
- Location: Westerville, Ohio
- Setting: Hospital respiratory therapy department
- Assignment: 13-week travel assignment
- Start Date: October 4, 2026
- End Date: January 2, 2027
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:30 PM-7:00 AM
- Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
- Schedule Requirements: Every third weekend; Thanksgiving holiday coverage includes the day before Thanksgiving
Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or equivalent respiratory therapy certification
- At least 1 year of professional respiratory therapy experience, preferably in a hospital or acute-care setting
- Current license or authorization to practice respiratory therapy in Ohio, as applicable
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts, including scheduled weekend and holiday coverage
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Successful completion of required credential verification, competency review, and onboarding requirements
Travel Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services to hospital patients across assigned care areas
- Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized respiratory care plans
- Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies safely and effectively
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes to the appropriate care team
- Support airway management, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory interventions within scope of practice
- Document assessments, treatments, patient responses, and respiratory care activities accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote quality patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional clinical environment during overnight coverage
