Travel Cath Lab Job Details
- Specialty: Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist / Radiologic Technologist / Rad Tech
- Location: Toledo, Ohio
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,560–$2,740
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 25, 2027
- Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
- Shift Hours: 6:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m.
- Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week
- Call Requirement: One weekday call shift per week and rotating weekend call, including two weekend call periods during the contract
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Daily Volume: Approximately 25–30 patients
- Clinical Environment: Seven-room cardiac services department supporting inpatient and outpatient care
- Charting System: Epic
Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent experience in a STEMI and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) facility
- Active ARRT certification must be in hand at the time of submission
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Required state radiologic technology licensure or eligibility, including Ohio Department of Health requirements as applicable
- Epic charting experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-acuity cardiac catheterization laboratory and remain STEMI-ready
- Experience with IABP and Impella procedures or documented training
- Competency with IV starts and EKG lead placement
- Experience with adult diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angiography, catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and PCI
- Experience with vascular, interventional radiology, or special procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis
- EP lab experience is preferred; clinicians with EP experience may float to EP when Cath Lab or IR volume is low
- Ability to float to other units or facilities when operationally needed
- Two professional references from the past 24 months
Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities
- Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures for adult and geriatric patients
- Assist with STEMI, PCI, structural heart, vascular, neuro, and chronic total occlusion cases
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for invasive cardiac and vascular interventions
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively during cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures
- Assist with diagnostic catheterizations, left- and right-heart catheterizations, angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement
- Support procedures involving IABP placement or removal and Impella insertion
- Perform IV starts and EKG lead placement while maintaining accurate patient identification and procedural documentation
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient procedural environment while following infection prevention and radiation safety standards
- Provide on-call coverage and respond promptly to urgent cardiac cases, including STEMI activations
- Document care and procedural information accurately in Epic
