MRI Technologist Travel Contract Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260–$2,430
- Employment Type: Travel contract
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland 21201
- Contract Length: 14 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026, or November 9, 2026
- Primary Schedule: Four 10-hour night shifts, 9:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., Monday–Thursday block schedule
- Alternative Schedule: Five 8-hour night shifts, 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., Monday–Friday, may be available
- Shift Duration: 10-hour nights
- Shifts per Week: 4
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Holidays required as scheduled
- Call: No pre-scheduled call shifts
- Floating: Required within the MRI technologist specialty and assigned clinical areas as needed
MRI Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional MRI Technologist experience
- Active ARRT(R) and ARRT(MR) credentials
- Active Maryland radiologic technologist license or eligible compact licensure, as applicable
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- First-time travel MRI technologists are welcome with strong MRI skills and experience
- Proficiency with Siemens MRI systems, particularly Aera and Sola 1.5T magnets
- Experience scanning ventilated and monitored patients; Level I Trauma experience is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, MRI zones, and maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
- Ability to work block scheduling, weekend rotations, holidays, and floating requirements
MRI Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations for adult, pediatric, neonatal, infant, adolescent, and geriatric patients
- Complete routine and advanced MRI scans across neuro, body, and musculoskeletal applications
- Perform studies involving the brain, spine, joints, extremities, abdomen, pelvis, cardiac structures, vascular anatomy, and soft tissue
- Operate Siemens Aera and Sola 1.5T MRI systems safely and efficiently
- Scan ventilated and monitored patients using appropriate IV extensions and monitoring practices
- Apply advanced MRI imaging techniques, including diffusion, perfusion, MRA, MRV, spectroscopy, cine studies, and image post-processing
- Screen patients and staff for MRI safety risks and maintain compliance with established MRI zone protocols
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Document MRI procedures accurately and support image quality, patient comfort, and efficient imaging department workflow
