We are seeking a skilled travel sonographer for an on-site hospital contract. The ideal candidate has breast imaging experience and can perform obstetric (OB) ultrasound examinations across all trimesters. Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional ultrasound, diagnostic medical sonography, or related imaging experience
• Breast imaging experience required
• Ability to perform OB ultrasound examinations during all trimesters
• ARDMS certification required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Additional specialty credentials may include RDCS, RCS, RCCS, RVT, or RVS, as applicable to the technologist’s practice area
• Active license or authorization to practice in Pennsylvania, as required
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and call
• Strong patient-care, communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Travel Sonographer Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive ultrasound imaging and diagnostic sonography procedures according to established clinical guidelines and protocols
• Complete breast and OB ultrasound examinations, including studies across all trimesters
• Perform specialty imaging procedures within the technologist’s credentialed area, such as echocardiography or vascular studies, when applicable
• Obtain relevant patient history, explain procedures, answer questions, and provide compassionate care to patients and families
• Prioritize patient scheduling and coordinate timely completion of ordered ultrasound procedures
• Recognize and promptly communicate potentially abnormal findings to the appropriate medical team
• Accurately document completed procedures, measurements, findings, and patient information in the electronic medical record
• Calculate and measure structures from imaging data to support physician interpretation and diagnosis
• Complete accurate documentation to support appropriate procedure billing
• Maintain clean, orderly, and properly functioning ultrasound equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow hospital safety and quality standards
