Required Qualifications

• ARDMS
• BLS (AHA)
• Background hits must be disclosed at time of submission
• Breast experience required
• Must be able to do OB on all trimesters
• Appropriate certification includes one of the following: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)

Assignment Details

• Rotating shifts including days, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and call
• Scrub color: Gray

Clinical Focus

• Cardiac Graphics and Vascular Laboratories
• If certified in Cardiac, the role includes non-invasive cardiac imaging procedures such as echocardiograms, TEE, TTE, stress echo, and structure heart program imaging
• If certified in Vascular, the role includes non-invasive vascular imaging procedures such as upper/lower venous duplexes, arterial duplexes, dialysis graphs, venous insufficiencies, pulse volume recordings, and ankle brachial index

Responsibilities

• Perform proper billing of procedures
• Prioritize and coordinate patient scheduling
• Obtain procedure-specific information before testing and answer patient questions
• Perform non-invasive imaging procedures within established guidelines and timeframes
• Notify appropriate medical staff if images vary from normal
• Document procedures in the patient chart
• Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures from procedure data
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas
• Complete accurate documentation through EPIC to support proper billing
• Maintain patient and unit confidentiality
