CT Technologist Job Details

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: Mix of 4:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m. shifts; six days on followed by seven days off; every third weekend
• Call: Minimal, typically scheduled approximately once every 12 weeks
• Technology: Siemens CT imaging equipment and Epic electronic medical record

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting
• ARRT registration in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Active Ohio radiologic license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Recent experience operating Siemens CT equipment
• Experience documenting in Epic electronic medical records
• Strong attention to detail, patient-safety skills, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols and physician orders
• Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain examinations, and promote comfort and cooperation
• Operate Siemens CT equipment safely and efficiently
• Review CT images for quality, completeness, and diagnostic clarity before submitting studies for interpretation
• Accurately document patient information, procedures, and results in the Epic electronic medical record
• Follow radiation-safety standards and applicable hospital policies
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
• Respond appropriately to urgent and emergent imaging needs while maintaining excellent patient care
