Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care hospital
• Location: Camden, New Jersey
• Schedule: Overnight shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: October 28, 2026
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,050
• Work Arrangement: On-site

Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Recent pediatric respiratory care experience required
• Active New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license required
• Current credentials appropriate to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Ability to work scheduled overnight shifts in an on-site hospital environment

Respiratory Care Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory assessments and therapeutic interventions for hospitalized adult and pediatric patients
• Monitor patient respiratory status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer respiratory treatments and operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to support individualized treatment plans
• Document patient assessments, respiratory treatments, responses, and clinical progress accurately
• Promote patient safety and follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, and infection-control standards
