Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,300–$2,470
• Location: York, Pennsylvania (York, PA)
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel healthcare assignment
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Schedule: Four 10-hour night shifts per week, Sunday through Thursday
• Shift: 9:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call: No call requirement
• Holiday Coverage: No holidays required
• Work Environment: On-site hospital MRI department; tobacco- and fragrance-free workplace

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required; 2 years preferred
• Current ARRT or ARMRIT certification required
• Current BLS certification from an accepted provider
• Experience operating GE MRI equipment required
• EPIC experience required
• Availability to work scheduled overnight shifts in a hospital-based imaging setting
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices, patient positioning, imaging protocols, and contrast safety
• Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations safely and efficiently in accordance with established imaging protocols
• Prepare, position, and assess patients before, during, and after MRI procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot GE MRI equipment and related diagnostic imaging technology
• Screen patients for MRI safety risks, implants, contraindications, and required precautions
• Administer contrast media when authorized and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Accurately document MRI procedures and patient information in EPIC
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused hospital imaging environment
• Provide compassionate care to patients with a variety of medical needs, including patients who may have COVID-19
