CT Technologist Job Details

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• CT Technologist certification or equivalent recognized credential
• Current license or certification verification as required for practice in Ohio
• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts, including every third weekend
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, patient safety, and radiation safety practices
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills

CT Imaging Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols and clinical indications
• Prepare patients for CT imaging procedures, explain the examination, and promote comfort and safety
• Operate CT equipment and obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Follow radiation safety standards and departmental policies
• Verify patient information, examination orders, and relevant clinical history
• Recognize and appropriately respond to patient needs or changes in condition during examinations
• Maintain accurate imaging documentation and ensure timely communication with the care team
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other imaging professionals to support quality patient care
