Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Paris, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Facility Overview

• Level III Trauma Center
• 9 Labor & Delivery beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:3
• Equipment includes EFM, IV pump, NIBP
• Electronic Health Records: GE Centricity, Meditech
• Serves all age groups
• Weekly orientation on Mondays
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call requirements: As needed
• Float requirements: As needed

Job Responsibilities & Skills

• Proficient and independent in labor management
• Experience with labor management, circulating cesarean sections, and OB triage
• Common diagnoses and treatments include labor, pre-term labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean section, and pregnancy complications

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Required certifications prior to start:

  • ACLS
  • AWHONN
  • BLS
  • HWC
  • NRP
  • PALS

• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
