Registered Nurse (Telemetry) - Travel Assignment
Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Primarily day and afternoon shifts
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Unit & Patient Population
- Telemetry unit with 24 beds
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- Patient population: Generalized cardiac patients, ages ranging from young adult to elderly adult
- Common diagnoses/treatments: Chest pain, A-fib, congestive heart failure (CHF), pre- and post-care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial), video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)
- Equipment used: Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo monitors
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Cerner (preferred experience)
- May occasionally float to Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), Neurological Progressive Care Unit (NPCU), and/or Surgical units
- Family-oriented unit culture
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

- Scrub color is flexible; no unacceptable attire specified
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
