Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Labor & Delivery)

Location: Mayfield, Kentucky

Unit & Work Environment

• Department: Labor and Delivery
• Number of Beds: 8
• Patient Population: Obstetrics, Nursery, Occasional Gynecology Surgery, Occasional Breast Reduction, Abdominoplasty
• Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN Standards
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: MediTech
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every Other/As Needed
• Call Requirements: As Needed
• Float Requirements: As Needed
• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no casual wear

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including OB/GYN experience, within the last year
• Experience in charge nurse roles
• Required Certifications prior to start:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Healing Wound Care (HWC)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Additional Information

• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel
• Professional demeanor and personality fit required
• Facility is a 107-bed, Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital serving multiple counties
• The hospital offers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services including a birthing center, wound care, and chest pain center
