Registered Nurse - Surgery (Travel)

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide circulating nursing care in the Operating Room across multiple surgical specialties including General, Gynecology, Vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, Podiatry, and da Vinci Robotic Surgery.
• Serve a patient population of all ages in a Level III Trauma facility with 7 OR rooms.
• Patient ratio is 1:1.
• Electronic Health Record system used: Meditech.

Work Schedule & Hours

• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36-40 hours.
• Call requirements: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month.
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend or as needed with potential for coverage/call.
• Float requirements: Interdepartmental as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in West Virginia.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR Circulate experience within the last year.
• Experience in surgical specialties including OB/GYN, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics, and Urology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an OR Scrub or Circulator is preferred.

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs biweekly on Wednesdays.
• Facility provides scrub colors; casual or other facility-branded attire is not acceptable.
• The hospital treats approximately 13,000 patients annually and has a busy emergency department.
• The facility is accredited by the Joint Commission.
• Offers a wide range of surgical services including trauma/emergency services.

This position is ideal for experienced OR RNs seeking a travel assignment with diverse surgical exposure in a Level III trauma center.
