Registered Nurse (Rehabilitation) - Travel Assignment
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Day
Weekly Hours: 36 (includes every weekend)
Job Description
- Provide specialized, intense rehabilitation nursing care for adult patients (18+) recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
- Work in a 12-14 bed inpatient acute rehabilitation unit focused on maximizing patient health, function, and quality of life.
- Patient ratios: 1 RN to 7 patients.
- Utilize equipment such as EKG machines and bladder scanners.
- Document care using Cerner electronic health records (EHR).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- Minimum 1 year of rehabilitation nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Position requires working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every week.
- Scrub color: Royal blue.
- Patient population: Adults 18 years and older.
- Common patient diagnoses include amputee care, stroke recovery, and hip/knee replacements.
- No float or call requirements.
Work Environment
- Acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting.
- Unit located on 1 South or 2B floor.
- Parking available on the outer perimeter of the building (front spaces reserved for patients/families).
Notes
- Hospital experience is a must.
- Critical thinker personality fit preferred.
