Registered Nurse - Rehab

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Work Environment

• Unit: Inpatient Rehabilitation
• Number of Beds: 12
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Patient Population: Adults aged 21 to over 90 years
• Equipment: Lift, sliding board, sara steady, various PT/OT equipment, EKG, vital machines
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Meditech
• Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to Med Surg and acute care units as needed
• Shift Details: 36 hours per week, weekend hours every other weekend or as needed, call as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Rehabilitation nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check before assignment start

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience in Rehabilitation and Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, decision-making skills
• Ability to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns to physicians or advanced practice providers
• Positive attitude, empathy, and willingness to support coworkers

• Orthopedic conditions
• Stroke
• Neurological disorders
• Cardiac issues
• Spinal cord injury (SCI)
• Brain injury
• Myopathy

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
• Dress code: Scrubs or scrub bottoms with T-shirt/sweatshirt (hospital gift shop apparel allowed)
• Casual wear and other facility-branded clothing are not acceptable attire
