Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

• 16 private rooms on 2 North floor
• Trauma Level 3 facility
• Patient population: Geriatric and Adult
• Patient ratios: 1:4 standard, 1:3 for higher acuity
• Electronic Health Record system: Paragon (McKesson)
• Unit specialty: Medical-Surgical
• Common diagnoses/treatments: Alcohol detox, Post PCI, DKA/HHS, Cardiac issues, GI problems, BIPAP use

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekend shifts every 2-week pay period
• Call requirements: Yes
• Float requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Experience with medication titration

Additional Information

• No block schedules
• Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
• Dress code: Standard professional attire required (no unprofessional attire)
• Recreational area includes golf courses, parks, and is located in Washington Wine Country
• Facility serves the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland) with 111 beds total
