Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Florence, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed

Unit and Patient Population

• Unit: Labor and Delivery (3rd Floor)
• Number of Beds: 9
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Patient Population: Adult
• Float Requirement: Postpartum

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Postpartum experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Job Responsibilities and Environment

• Manage patients with diagnoses such as Normal Spontaneous Labor, Preterm Labor, Gestational Hypertension, Preeclampsia, Placenta Previa, Placental Abruption, Fetal Distress, Umbilical Cord Prolapse, and Postpartum Hemorrhage
• Use electronic health records (EHR) systems including Centricity and Meditech
• Participate in weekly orientation sessions (held on Mondays)
• Adaptability, teamwork, attention to detail, stamina, strong communication skills, and empathy are essential personality traits

• Rapid response position: candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance
• Dress code: Ceil Blue scrubs only; no non-compliant colors, slogans, graphics, offensive content, or inappropriate footwear allowed
