355-bed hospital with specialized centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women’s Center, and Level 3 NICU
32-bed Emergency Department, 29-bed inpatient rehab, 15-bed surgical suite & imaging
Behavioral Health Hospital on South Campus with 81 beds

Unit Details

Department: Telemetry (Cardiac Specialty)
Number of Beds: 24
Patient Ratios: 4:1
Equipment: Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner (preferred experience)
Patient Population: Generalized cardiac patients, young adult to elderly adult
Float Requirements: May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Position Information

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry

Shift: Primarily Day/Evening (P/A)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

Minimum 2 years RN experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification
Licenses: Registered Nurse License (valid in North Carolina)
Must have skills/experience with Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo
Preferred experience with Cerner EHR

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

Chest Pain
Atrial Fibrillation (A-fib)
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Pre & Post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial)
Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
