Patient Ratios: 4:1
Patient Population: Generalized cardiac patients, ages young adult to elderly adult
Equipment Used: Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner (preferred skill)
Float Requirements: May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Requirements

Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiac specialty (highest required)
Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

Chest Pain
Atrial Fibrillation (A-fib)
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Pre & Post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial)
Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)

Work Environment & Culture

Family-oriented unit
Scrub Color: Any color allowed
No unacceptable attire specified

Additional Notes

Orientation occurs twice monthly
Facility includes multiple specialty centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, Surgical Weight Loss, Women’s Center, and Level 3 NICU
Telemetry floor is part of a larger hospital system with 355 beds and various specialized units

This position is ideal for RNs with cardiac telemetry experience seeking a travel assignment in a supportive, family-oriented environment.
