Job Summary

Seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a Joint Commission-accredited acute care facility. The unit has 8 beds and follows AWHONN patient ratio standards. The role involves providing care primarily to obstetrics, newborns, occasional gynecological surgery, breast reduction, and abdominoplasty patients.

Shift & Hours

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every Other/As Needed
• Call Requirements: As Needed
• Float Requirements: As Needed

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• HWC (Health Worker Certification)

Required Licensure

• Registered Nurse License valid in Kentucky

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in charge nurse roles

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; no casual wear allowed
• Electronic Health Record system used: MediTech
