Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care to patients requiring medical and surgical monitoring and intervention. The role requires expertise in telemetry monitoring, patient assessment, and critical thinking to manage the needs of patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings to notice any changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele prior to travel assignments.
• At least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience is necessary; travel experience is acceptable.
• Must possess a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Must be able to work at least every other holiday.
