Shifts are 4x10 hour days from Monday to Thursday, 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with no on-call responsibilities.
Job Description
The MRI Technologist is responsible for providing timely imaging services for both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This role entails the ability to adjust imaging parameters for various studies including soft tissue, arterial systems, brain, spine, joints, and extremities, with or without the use of contrast media.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Adjust imaging parameters as necessary for accurate diagnostics.
- Collaborate with Radiologists to ensure quality and timely imaging services.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in MRI technology.
- Current ARRT certification and MR certification required.
- BLS and CPR certifications required.
- Experience with GE and Siemens MRI machines is a plus.
- Preferred: Graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the ARRT; holding a State License as a general radiographer.
