Schedule

12-hour night shifts, working three nights per week from 7 PM to 7 AM. Candidates will be required to work every other weekend, including Saturdays and Sundays, and one winter holiday.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care for patients with heavy cardiac conditions, including dysrhythmias and strokes, often downgraded from the ICU. The role includes the requirement to read and interpret telemetry strips and manage drips such as Cardizem and Nitro. The hospital has in-house hospitalists and intensivists to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the stepdown unit.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage telemetry strips as needed.
• Titrate drips and medications according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support and mentor nursing aides during the shift.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and unexpired RN license.
• Must have ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience in acute care, specifically in cardiac or stepdown settings, preferred.
