Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) or Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

Join our dynamic Step Down unit, providing high-quality care to post-cardiac patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients recovering from cardiac procedures and ensuring a smooth transition to stable health.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in a step down environment
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring adherence to safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement effective care strategies
• Educate patients and families regarding health management post-discharge

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Cardiac Step Down or related specialty
• Ohio RN license or a compact state license in hand
• Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessment completion required during orientation
