Job Description

The Med/Surg Telemetry units provide comprehensive care for patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs. Nurses in these units should have a strong foundation in med/surg nursing, be skilled in telemetry monitoring, and be adept at managing a diverse patient population. This role offers an engaging environment for nurses who can balance the demands of complex care in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

Provide care for patients with GI issues, cardiac conditions, renal conditions, confusion, and altered mental status.
Monitor and support stroke patients within a combined med/surg and stroke unit.
Maintain telemetry monitoring for patients in a general med/surg telemetry unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Valid nursing license required.
Verification of required certifications such as Nursys and License/Certificate Verification.
Completion of Bassett Core Competencies, Unit Exam, and Skills Checklist during onboarding.
Immunization records including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Test, Varicella, and Tdap.
Professional references and criminal background checks as part of the onboarding process.
