Job Description
Join our dynamic Emergency Department team as a skilled Registered Nurse. This role involves direct patient care for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced clinical skills in managing a range of patient diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
- Oversee triage, acute care management, and coordination of care for a total of 64 beds including trauma, acute, and pediatric patients.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide leadership as a Charge Nurse, mentoring and guiding nursing staff in the delivery of safe and effective care.
- Float as required within the department and adapt to varying clinical needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing with pediatric experience preferred.
- Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC. TNCC certification is required to be in hand.
- Active New York RN license and verification through NURSYS report.
- Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
- Recent references from 2 ED charge or manager-level RNs.
- Valid driver’s license with an address that matches demographics.
- Travel experience is required.
