3x12-Hour shifts rotating between days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).

Job Description

The Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Stepdown Float Pool. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients recovering from cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in the cardiac stepdown unit.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and manage their medical needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and ensure accurate documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Cardiac Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Current Ohio RN license or compact state license required.
• American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
