Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse for a night shift position. The successful candidate must have a strong background in medical-surgical telemetry nursing and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality and compassionate patient care to medical-surgical telemetry patients.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and ECG rhythms, operate telemetry equipment, and respond to alarms accordingly.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, medications, and post-discharge plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in charting systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Must have 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry prior to travel.
• Must possess a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current American Red Cross BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start.
• Two recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required.
