Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating care needed by assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods, and techniques of nursing practice. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family members/significant others, professional peers, and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and develop individualized patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Implement nursing interventions based on patient assessment and follow established protocols.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to established standards and policies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty preferred.
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Willingness to float to Women and Families Hospital as needed.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a NOC 12-hour shift schedule.
