Job Description
The CT Technologist will assist with Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures performed in CT areas by operating the CT scanner during cases. They will be responsible for scanning and managing the CT equipment during IR cases while ensuring protocols are based on guidelines and dose data integration. The position involves performing CT procedures to acquire digital images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to acquire images for diagnosis.
- Maintain knowledge of and operate different CT systems at multiple locations.
- Follow ImageGently guidelines to manage protocols and monitor radiation dose data.
- Obtain CT images according to established protocols ensuring patient preparation and safety.
- Perform CT Interventional Procedures and advanced CTA imaging.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacology and physiology to enhance image quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist is required. Graduation from an accredited Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is essential.
