Location

Located in an acute care setting.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 12-hour Nights from 7 PM to 7 AM as primary, with 7 AM to 7 PM shifts as needed. The position includes evening and night shifts, with a requirement of approximately 36-40 hours per week, including every weekend.

Job Description

This nursing position is in a unit with approximately 9-10 beds, providing care for mothers and babies in a Labor and Delivery and Postpartum setting. The nurse will assist with their own C-Sections and be part of a team that delivers about 40-50 births a month.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns in a combined Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum environment.
Assist with C-Sections and provide postpartum care to new mothers.
Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and babies.
Monitor and assess patient conditions before, during, and after childbirth.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Active RN Licensure.
Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, and BLS.
