Job Description

The Neuro Radiology Technologist will support the expanding technology needs of complex Neuro Endovascular cases in the operating room. This clinical/technical position will involve hands-on work with multiple imaging and navigation systems used to guide proceduralists and surgeons in complex head and spinal procedures.

Responsibilities

Assess technology needs for the day related to scheduled procedures and ensure equipment readiness.
Manage schedules and identify needs and conflicts for technology.
Assist physicians in a variety of brain and spine interventional cases, including mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke and brain aneurysm treatment.
Scrub and circulate in a room, prepare neurovascular and spine devices, and manipulate imaging systems.
Use EPIC to schedule cases and understand billing and CPT codes.
Discuss cases with attending physicians and ensure relevant images are transmitted to PACS post-procedure.
Maintain equipment and perform post-processing of 2D and 3D imaging.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must have Neuro experience.
ARRT certification and BLS required.
Proficient in the use of all equipment specific to examinations performed.
Familiarity with patient care/monitoring equipment and various computer systems such as Image cast, SMS, and Medview.
