4x12 Hour shifts (Days and Nights); rotating every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for the care of a variety of patients, primarily focusing on those with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), acute Myocardial Infarction (MI), post-device care (pacemakers), and patients with arrhythmias. The RN will monitor cardiac rhythms, respond to emergencies, and perform various nursing interventions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 in a 26-bed unit.
• Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and participate in rapid response and code team situations.
• Administer IV therapy and perform phlebotomy tasks.
• Utilize various respiratory devices including nasal cannulas and oxygen masks.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and standard safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN in a MedSurg/Tele environment.
• Current New York State RN License in hand is mandatory.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with EPIC charting is essential.
• Floating to other units may be required.
