Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Unit Director/Manager for the overall nursing practice of the unit during the assigned shift. In the absence of the Unit Director/Manager, the RN is accountable to the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator of the shift. The RN will provide professional nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessing patient needs, developing a plan of care, implementing nursing measures, and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing care and other treatment measures.

Responsibilities

• Effectively function as a team member and liaison between patients and staff.
• Support and encourage harmonious communication skills.
• Exhibit strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
• Communicate in a highly professional manner at all times.
• Demonstrate mental and emotional tolerance, tact, sensitivity, and sound judgment in interactions with patients, families, and co-workers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of previous RN experience required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
