Schedule

Rotating shifts: 3x12-hour schedules, including night shifts (7pm to 7:30am) and day shifts (7am to 7:30pm).

Job Description

We are seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing telemetry monitoring, and ensuring all nursing protocols are followed effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for individuals on a medical-surgical telemetry unit.
Monitor telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions.
Educate patients and families about conditions and care plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

A minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
Valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
Mandatory holiday work every other holiday.
