Day and Night shifts available: 3x12-Hour rotating schedule (07:00 - 19:30; 19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Stepdown Unit with a focus on patient-centered progressive care. The candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care, utilizing critical thinking and strong assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Stepdown Unit, monitoring and assessing patient conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Educate patients and families about health management and recovery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Stepdown or comparable specialty
• Must hold a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate required during orientation
• One supervisory reference from current or past employer is mandatory for submission
