12 Hour Shifts, D/E/N Rotating Schedule, Every Other Weekend, and Holidays as per unit needs.

Job Description

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for meeting with and examining patients who have pulmonary diseases, disorders, or complications. Your primary duties include conducting, performing, and analyzing diagnostic and function tests to assess lung capacity and capability, working with physicians and nurses to create treatment plans, evaluating the progress of treatment, and administering inhalants.

Responsibilities

• Documenting care by updating charts and records.
• Operating mechanical ventilators and other medical machines.
• Completing discharge planning in collaboration with other members of the medical team.
• Training patients on how to administer treatments and use equipment independently.
• Recommending equipment and treatment for outpatient or home health.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RT License (NY License ONLY)
• Must be a Registered RT ONLY
• Two (2) years of experience required
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
