This is a 22 to 26-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

Days - 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, with 36 or 48 hours available per week. Candidates are required to work 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend, and must work a minimum of 1 holiday per contract. There is no block scheduling, and flexibility according to the facility's needs is required.

Job Description

Join our team in the West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care unit, which comprises 37 beds. We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses (RN) to provide exceptional care in an acute medical surgical and telemetry setting. Responsibilities will include patient assessments, medication administration, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a med/tele unit.
• Conduct patient assessments and create care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Provide patient education and support for individuals and their families.
• Required to float to other units if needed.
• Must be willing to work in a charge nurse capacity, with training available if needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute med/surg/tele.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• NIH Stroke training certification.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
